Innovative Modular Construction as a Key
As part of the renovation of the Staatstheater Kassel, a modern interim venue is being built for a period of approximately five years. The special feature of this project is its innovative modular design, which not only allows for maximum flexibility during use but also provides for complete dismantling after the season ends.
To ensure the quickest possible realization of the interim venue, the City of Kassel utilized its subsidiary GWG – Gemeinnützige Wohnungsbaugesellschaft der Stadt Kassel mbH – as investor and client. The temporary structure was erected by GWG on behalf of the City of Kassel. GWG commissioned NÜSSLI as general contractor for the construction of the interim venue.
Everything from a Single Source
Our material deliveries started on schedule at the end of the first quarter of 2025. As a reliable building material dealer, our aim was to provide all products exactly at the right time, thereby optimally supporting construction progress.
Our portfolio included a wide selection of high-quality building materials for interior finishing. These included, among others, drywall products such as Rigips boards, insulation materials from Rockwool and Climowool, as well as our own private label solutions. This was supplemented by room-in-room systems, fire protection cladding, and acoustically effective wall absorbers. In this way, we were able to provide a comprehensive range that meets both functional and design requirements at the highest level.
Customized Door Solutions
A particular highlight of our service scope is the delivery of 65 individually manufactured doors from Teckentrup. Nearly every single one was precisely adapted to the respective requirements – both in terms of dimensions and with regard to fire and sound protection, as well as powder coating. This individual production underscores our commitment as a building material dealer not only to supply products but also to realize tailor-made solutions.
