Six Thermoblowers ready for professional lightweight levelling
Over the past twelve months, wego vti has expanded its Thermoblower fleet to six vehicles. They are stationed at the Abstatt (2), Dresden, Hanau, Elsenfeld and Rostock branches. Thermoblowers produce bonded levelling fills on site in accordance with DIN 18560-2 for full-surface levelling of service voids as well as unevenness.
DIN 18560-2:2022-08 covers screeds and heated screeds on insulation layers (floating screeds) and was revised at the end of 2022. One of the most important changes is, among other things, that the levelling layer for service voids must now have a compressive stress of at least 100 kPa at 10% compression. The “carving” of insulation between pipes and installations is restricted by the standard, as the use of EPS DEO insulation material as a levelling layer is tied to very specific requirements.
With the Thermoblower, standards-compliant installation of bonded levelling fills is no problem. The material meets the requirements for a “levelling layer for service voids” in accordance with DIN 18560-2. The ability to set different strength classes on site offers maximum flexibility: the lightweight levelling fill is suitable for use under both traditional screeds and dry screeds as well as thin-layer systems. Installation is fast, efficient and consistently high in quality. Thanks to rapid readiness for covering, swift construction progress is ensured.
The use of Thermoblower vehicles effectively supports the sustainability concept—on the one hand through the use of EPS granulate from recycling processes, and on the other by avoiding cement and granulate bags and their disposal. This results in another advantage where space is limited on inner-city construction sites, as no additional storage space is required on site.
The deployment of the Thermoblowers is coordinated by the five branches mentioned, which also provide information on the vehicles’ respective delivery radius.
